MHA Clarifies - If you have filed Returns
online in FC 6 you need not file again in new Form FC 4
For the Financial Year 2014-15
several NGOs had successfully filed online returns in Form FC 6.
However, many were wondering if they now had to re-submit returns for
FY 2014-15 in the new Form FC 4 before 15th March 2016 since Ministry
of Home Affairs had not made this clear enough.
In our earlier Blog we had
clarified that those who had already filed online returns for FY
2014-15 in FC 6 need not re-file returns online in FC 4. However, to
be doubly sure we, at CAP, sent a query to MHA and were pleasantly
surprised to receive a clear and very prompt response.
Mr. Arun Kumar Dhyani (Under
Secretary) <usfcra-mha@gov.in>
vide his e mail response of 4th
January 2016 wrote: “As you have already filed return online, there
is no need to file it again in FC4 for the year 2014-2015”.
Thank you Mr. Dhyani for your
prompt response and clarifying this!
To Reiterate:
- All organisations which have successfully filed form FC-6 on or before 14th December 2015 for the FY 2014-15, are NOT REQUIRED to file in the new form FC-4
- However, all organisations which have not filed form FC-6 on or before 14th December 2015 for the year 2014-15, are now required to file returns in the new form FC-4.
- The last date for filing the annual return for the year 2014-15 in the new Form FC-4 has been extended to 15th March 2016.
- Also, those filing returns in the new Form FC 4 should note that they need not post hard copies to MHA any more.
